CM Punk is an American professional wrestler who was born on October 26, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. His real name is Phillipe Jack Brooks. Now his age is about 38 years old.

His age is 1.88m. His partner is AJ Lee and he belongs to Atheism religion. His net worth is $8 million as of June 2017. In 2005, he signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and this deal remained for about 10 years. He won WWE Champion for two time.

He also won other five championships including three times WWE World Heavyweight Championship and ECW and ROH each once.

He became famous when he became WWE Champion for long time and break the record of John Cena who remained Champion for 380 days. He became the sixth longest Champion of all time. He remained champion from November 20, 2011 to January 27, 2013.

Childhood & Early Life

CM Punk was born on October 26, 1978 in Chicago. His father was an engineer and his mother was a homemaker. He attended Lockport Township High School.

In mid of 1990’s he fought wrestling in Lunatic Wrestling Federation. His friends thought that it is a co-curricular activity but CM Punk thought that he can make his career in wrestling.

CM Punk Career

Initially, Brooks used “CM Punk” as his ring name when he made a tag team with CM Venom named “The Chick Magnets”. This name remained with him for whole life and gave him an individuality of his own.

He had won many championships which includes TNA (Total Nonstop) ROH (Ring of Honour) OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling), ECW and WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment).

In 2002 he joined the ROH (Ring of Honour). He got limelight when his feud started with Raven. This feud became the top feud of the year.

Early in his career, he wrestled from IWA Mid-South (independent Wrestling Association Mid-South). Slowly, he started arising at the top of the roster by winning two times light heavyweight Championship and three times Heavyweight Championship in IWA Mid-South.

Punk made his debut in ECW Championship in June, 2006. He remained unbeaten for six months in ECW which ended when Hardcore Holly defeated him.

He made various tries to win ECW title but every time he defeated by Morrison. Finally, on September 1, 2007, Punk beat Morrison and won ECW Championship title. Before losing it to Chavo Guerrero, he defended this title for three times.

Punk was drafted to Raw on June 23, 2008. In the starting he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title. He defended this title for about two months and he lost this title when he was attacked by The Legacy. His title was lost because he could not attend this match.

Punk defeated Stephanie McMahon on January 19, 2009. He became the nineteenth Triple Crown Champion. He won Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 25 and he became the first wrestler to win the match for two times.

He again won World Heavyweight Championship title by beating The Undertaker in a submission match. But he can’t submit early and lost it from The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match.

Punk left WWE forum as dramatic as his active years in it. He did not appear in many episodes of Raw without notice due to which WWE removed him from promotional videos.

WWE officially removed Punk from the active roster to the alumni page on July, 15, 2014. In next month, he thanked his fans but he broke hearts of his fans because he said that he would never join wrestling again.

After retiring from wrestling, he joined mixed martial arts and he signed a deal with UFC in December. He fought first professional fight on September 10, 2016, against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 but unfortunately, he lost this fight via submission in first round.

Personal Life

On June 13, 2014 he married to April Mendez Aka AJ Lee.

He is an atheist and also a reader of avid as well.
